Nathanael Vincent: Bold and Steadfast Under Fire

Born: c. 1639, Cornwall, England
Died: June 22, 1697, London, United Kingdom

Nathanael Vincent was a bold and gifted Puritan preacher whose ministry endured imprisonment, persecution, and political turmoil. Educated at Oxford and ordained at just twenty-one, Vincent quickly became known for his sharp intellect, lively preaching, and passionate defense of biblical truth.

After losing his position in 1662 for refusing state-imposed church practices, Vincent preached in London despite threats and arrests. Even in confinement, he wrote and published books that strengthened the church and still remain strikingly relevant for believers today.
