Nicholas Claget: Guarding Grace in an Age of Abuse

Born: c. 1610, Canterbury, England
Died: September 12, 1663, Bury St. Edmunds, England

Nicholas Claget boldly opposed the spiritual compromises of his age. Educated at Oxford and known for his skill in philosophy and theology, Claget became a powerful voice for holiness during a time when many twisted God’s grace into license for sin.

Nicholas Claget faithfully preached the gospel in Suffolk, even when staying true to God’s Word meant losing his position in the church. Though he lived centuries ago, his voice still calls the church to honor the grace of God with lives marked by reverence, not rebellion.
