We talk often about Godโs graceโbut do we really understand what makes it so amazing? In this companion volume to The Covenant of Grace, Scottish pastor-theologian John Colquhoun helps us see the bigger picture: before we can grasp salvation, we need to understand what weโve been saved from.
This is not just a book about doctrineโitโs about the foundation of the gospel itself. If you want to know how law and grace work together in Godโs plan, this beautifully bound, hardcover classic will help you and offer a lasting legacy for the next generation.

About the Author
Scottish Pastor John Colquhoun (pronounced ka-hoon) helped generations of believers see the beauty of the gospel through the lens of law and grace. Colquhoun preached with one aim: to draw sinners from the weight of the law to the wonder of grace.
He ministered for over forty years in South Leith, teaching that the law exposes our need and the gospel meets it fully in Christ. His writings are both theologically rich and intensely pastoral, guiding readers from self-reliance to gospel rest. In an age prone to confusion, Colquhoun brought gospel precision. His legacy still speaks today, calling believers to trust in Christ alone and walk in joyful obedience under the banner of grace.

Quote from the book
It is as natural to the sons of Adam to rely on their own professions and performances for a title to eternal life as it is to breathe. Nothing can destroy this legal spirit, this inclination in them to lean to the way of the old covenant for acceptance with God but the quickening spirit of the last Adam. ...It is only the Second Adam who can cast the first Adam out of the heart, and seize upon it for Himself; who can make the proud legalist willing, instead of going about to establish his own righteousness for life, to go about to work righteousness from life already received.
