Christian liberty is precious and yet so often misunderstood. The nine sermons on 1 Corinthians 10:23 contained in Gospel Liberty explore the true nature and proper bounds of that freedom, showing that liberty in Christ is never license, but freedom constrained by wisdom and love.
The Welsh Puritan Walter Cradock delivered these sermons in a season of deep division in the church, and these sermons aim to heal dissentions and preserve peace among the saints. Never before available in a modern edition, this carefully edited hardcover offers pastoral guidance to a new generation seeking gospel-shaped freedom.

About the Author
Walter Cradock (c. 1610โ1659) came from a prominent family and was an Oxford-educated Welsh Puritan preacher whose Gospel-centered preaching helped shape early nonconformity in Wales. He helped start the first Independent church in Wales and became a leading spokesperson of the Independent movement.
During the English Civil War, Cradock ministered at All Hallows the Great in London, where many of his sermons were preached and later published. A key supporter of Oliver Cromwell, he played a central role in advancing Protestant ministry.
Cradock is best remembered for his clear, forceful preaching on justification by Christ alone, Gospel liberty, and the simplicity of faith.
